Museum takes part of the objects in 18th century Radziwiłł palace complex, archeology sections, ethnography, artistic. It owns the greatest in Poland collection of icons, above 1600 (most of the paintings gathered after 1980 comes from the frustrated contraband from border crossings above Bug river), the most precious ones comes from the midst of 17th century. The proud of the museum is also the collection of horse paintings and the collection of the folk painter Bazyli Albiczuk, "Nikifora Podlasia". Besides this, ethnographic sector is full of wealthy collections of material culture of South Podlasie and numismatic.
